The Gorman name is famous for providing the North East with the most tasty fish and chips since 1960. Douglas and Evelyn Gorman founded the first shop in the early 60s and over the next few years had expanded to opening 5 shops.

Keith Gorman was frying fish instead of doing his homework from the age of 15 and his passion for cookng world class fish and chips has continued to this very day.

In 2008 Gormans opened a new shop in Westerhope, backed by a radio airtime campaign supported by local legend Tim Healy. The shop has been a huge success winning Keith Chegwins 'Perfect Portion' award. Gormans have since opened a new shop in Morpeth, again supported by Tim Healy which is proving to be a huge success already.

Gormans have an extensive menu and offer a sit down restaurant experience, as well as take-away and home delivery.
